Quick Start Guide

STARTING YOUR FIRST CAMPAIGN

Navigate to Campaigns and click Create

First you need to name your Campaign –

we recommend a smart naming like : PRODUCT – AD FORMAT – PRICE TYPE – GEO

Ad type

AD FORMATS

You can choose from several Ads Formats:

  • Banner – This is your classical banner ads that can be static or animated images and even video images. Sizes: 970×250, 300×600, 300×250 and 320×100
  • Direct Link – This is the simplest form you just insert what link you want to promote no creatives involved. Links are usually placed inside content or on a specific parts of the website
  • PopUp – A full size ad or a page opening up directly.
  • VAST – This is a VIDEO or Banner ad that shows inside a video player. It can trigger before a video starts or in the certain timeframe during the video. The usual ads you see on youtube ar VAST ads
  • Push Notifications – A new type of ad that pops up on page like a text msg. Please contact us for help setting this up
  • There are other types not listed like Slider ads that slide in on the bottom of the page if you are interested in these please contact us and we will help you set those up

On top you can set the campaign to Running (it is live) to pause or to be finished

  • Running – It is currently live and ads are served
  • It is Paused
  • It is Finished / Auto completes when budget runs out

GEO TARGETING

A very important. It will help you target the countries you want. Bare in mind that different countries have different rates. You will see the minimum rates get updated when a new country is added.

To help you with the rates we have organized the countries into several price categories:

  • TIER 1 (USA, CANADA, W Europe, Australia, Japan) – MOST EXPENSIVE
  • Tier 2 (REST OF EU and some Asia countries)
  • Tier 3 (Brazil, Russia, etc,)
  • ROW all other countries not listed – LEAST EXPENSIVE

DOWNLOAD THE COUNTRY PRESETS SO YOU CAN 1-click IMPORT THEM

PRICING MODELS

There are two type of pricing models you can choose from

  • CPC – Cost per click
  • CPM – Cost per 1000 views / impressions

What type of pricing model you choose it is up to you. If an ad is highly clickable than a cost per views will make sense otherwise you can choose to pay just for every click your ad receives

BUDGETS – You can set a total campaign budget or / and daily budgets you want to spend on a the campaign. When the set budget is reached the campaign stops.

Schedule – When you want for your campaign to run

LIMITS

You can further limit your campaign to only show when certain conditions are met.

The first limit is to limit the number of total impressions or clicks the campaign can receive or you can limit that to a daily value. For instance if you set the Click daily limit to 10. When campaign will receive 10 clicks it will stop for the day

Frequency Capping

Next you have Frequency Capping, this is a very useful feature and we recommend you set it. What Frequency capping does it sets the maximum number of clicks or impressions a certain user will get. This enables you to set the aggressiveness of your campaign. Not setting this will trigger the ad every time other limits are checked.

Example: If you set Counter type to Impressions and limit to 1 and time interval to 5 minutes. The ad will only be shown to that user one time per 5 minutes. You can further select the mode to ip address (recommended) instead of the visitors (cookie based – not guaranteed)

Recommended NORMAL FREQ CAP Values.

  • BANNERS – 2 Impressions every 1-5 minutes IP Address
  • VIDEO VAST – 1 impression every 5 – 15 minutes IP address
  • Direct Link – 1 click per day or even week IP address
  • Pop Ups – 1 view per 6-24 hours IP address

Recommended AGGRESIVE FREQ CAP Values.

  • BANNERS – 10 Impressions every 1 minutes IP Address
  • VIDEO VAST – 5 impression every 5 minutes IP address
  • Direct Link – 1 click per hour IP Address
  • Pop Ups – 1 -3 views per hour IP Address

Device Targeting

Another important limit. We recommend separating your campaign to two different campaigns:

  • MOBILE – Targets Smartphone, Tablet, Phablet
  • DESKTOP – Windows, Mac etc.

This can help you get better rates and better ad positioning. You can set one campaign up then just use the clone tool in campaign overview to copy everything to the new campaign and then just change the device targeting.
